Are you curious about how living things work—from tiny cells to large ecosystems? The Biology Associate of Science (AS) Degree at Morgan Community College is a great way to start a career in science, healthcare, or the environment. In just two years, you’ll finish the first half of a bachelor’s degree while saving money and staying close to home.

Why Choose Biology at MCC?

  • Many Career Paths: Get ready for jobs in healthcare, research, or wildlife science.
  • Supportive Classes: Learn in small groups with instructors who want you to succeed.
  • Save on Tuition: Take your general science courses here, then transfer to a university.
  • Real Lab Experience: Use modern tools and practice skills you’ll need later.
  • Learn About Life: Study plants, animals, the human body, and ecosystems through hands-on activities.

What You’ll Learn

You’ll take biology, chemistry, physics, and math. You’ll explore how living things grow, change, and connect with the world around them.

What is a Transfer Degree?

A transfer degree from Morgan Community College is a smart way to begin your college journey. You’ll complete your first two years at MCC, where classes are smaller and more affordable. Then, you can transfer to a four-year public university in Colorado to finish your bachelor’s degree.

These degrees are called Degrees with Designation (DwDs). That means they’re set up to match the program you plan to transfer into, depending on the university you choose.

To make sure you're on the right path, it's very important to talk with an advisor early. They’ll help you choose the right courses based on your transfer goals.
