Explore the Universe Through Physics at MCC
Are you curious about how things move, why gravity works, or what makes up the universe? At Morgan Community College, our Physics program helps you ask big questions—and discover the answers. If you enjoy solving problems and thinking deeply about the world around you, physics is a great place to begin.
Why Choose Physics at MCC?
Studying physics at MCC gives you a strong, affordable start toward a degree in science or engineering. Our program includes hands-on lab experiences, small class sizes, and courses that easily transfer to Colorado’s top public universities. You’ll build problem-solving and critical thinking skills that are useful in many careers, from technology to engineering to data science.
What You’ll Learn
- Core concepts of physics, including motion, force, and energy
- How to apply advanced math (like calculus) to solve physical problems
- Lab skills and the scientific method
- How physics connects to astronomy, engineering, and modern technology
What is a Transfer Degree?
A transfer degree from Morgan Community College is a smart way to begin your college journey. You’ll complete your first two years at MCC, where classes are smaller and more affordable. Then, you can transfer to a four-year public university in Colorado to finish your bachelor’s degree.
These degrees are called Degrees with Designation (DwDs). That means they’re set up to match the program you plan to transfer into, depending on the university you choose.
To make sure you're on the right path, it's very important to talk with an advisor early. They’ll help you choose the right courses based on your transfer goals.
