Morgan Community College (MCC) has named Jennifer Thistle as Faculty of the Year. Thistle has been with Morgan Community College since 2015 and serves as Nursing Faculty, clinical instructor, and clinical coordinator for the nursing program. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Northern Colorado and a Master of Science in Nursing from Grand Canyon University.
“Jennifer is known for her dedication to students, staff and the college,” states Director of Nursing Education Kim Ewertz. “She sets high standards while guiding and empowering students in meeting their goals. Jennifer exhibits a respectful, positive, confident attitude in everything she does. Her willingness to help students succeed is one of her many defining characteristics.”
As the MCC Faculty of the Year, Thistle will be honored at a special luncheon hosted by the State Board for Community Colleges and Occupational Education in April 2019. She will also receive a National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) Excellence Award and be given the opportunity to attend the May 2019 International Conference on Teaching Excellence in Austin, Texas.
