MCC CACE Presents Amelia Furman Exhibit

Furman’s work explores the deep connection between nature and introspection.

The MCC Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) is proud to present an exhibit of collage and oil paintings by artist Amelia Furman. The exhibit will be on display January 15 through February 19, 2026, at the CACE Gallery of Fine Art, located at 300 Main Street in Fort Morgan. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

Furman’s work explores the deep connection between nature and introspection. Using botanicals and landscapes as her foundation, she layers collage materials, personal reflections, and memories to examine themes of emotional, mental, and spiritual growth.

Her pieces are rich with expressive figures, patterns, and movement, culminating in painted overlays of natural scenes that reflect the layered nature of human experience. The work captures how encounters with beauty in the natural world can spark self-reflection and personal meaning.

Furman combines a wide range of materials and textures in her collages, creating free form, layered compositions that draw the viewer in and reward close inspection. Each piece invites the audience to pause, look deeper, and connect their own experiences to the imagery.

“Ms. Furman explores nature and human emotions through her layered creations,” stated Suzanna Spears, Coordinator of CACE. “The collection of works will encourage visitors to view, imagine, and reflect on the many connections between mindful beauty and the natural beauty in the world around us.”

MCC CACE offers many free enrichment opportunities throughout the year. To learn more about the Amelia Furman exhibit, MCC CACE, or future events, contact Suzanna Spears, CACE Coordinator, at 970-542-3180 or visit www.morgancc.edu/CACE.
