The MCC Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) will host artist Anna Koster for a special presentation, “Reflecting on My Creative Journey”, on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in Founders Room on the MCC Fort Morgan Campus, 920 Barlow Road. A reception will begin at 5:30 p.m., followed by the presentation from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. This event is free and open to the public.
Anna Koster brings a wealth of experience to her work as both an artist and educator. Early in her career, she spent a summer with renowned artist Georgia O’Keeffe as her personal assistant. During that time Koster learned much from the artist. In her presentation, she will share what she learned from O’Keeffe, as well as images of her own artworks, while reflecting on her personal creative journey.
Anna Koster is a painter, illustrator, and art instructor whose career has spanned decades in both the studio and the classroom. She has taught art history, design, and studio courses, as well as led workshops that emphasize creativity as a lifelong practice. Her work has been exhibited in galleries and community spaces, and she has developed programs encouraging people of all ages to embrace their artistic potential. Koster’s passion lies in helping others see art not only as a discipline, but also as a way to enrich daily life.
“People are often looking for ways to express their own creative thought,” said Suzanna Spears, MCC CACE Coordinator. “Anna Koster’s presentation will highlight her experiences as an artist and give attendees practical ideas they can use to bring creativity into their own lives.”
The presentation is part of MCC CACE’s ongoing mission to bring enriching cultural opportunities to the community. CACE offers a variety of free events and programming throughout the year.
