Area of Study

B.A.S. Elementary Education

Elementary teachers help children learn, grow, and discover their potential during their most important years of development.

Great teachers change lives.

Elementary teachers help children learn to read, solve problems, and believe in themselves. They guide students during some of the most important years of their lives and make a lasting impact on their communities.

Morgan Community College’s Bachelor of Applied Science in Elementary Education was designed as a four-year pathway to help prepare more elementary teachers for rural communities across Colorado.

At MCC, you can earn your bachelor’s degree at community college tuition, with flexible classes offered online or on Zoom so you can keep working and learning where you live.

An Emphasis on Early Childhood Education!

The program also includes the Early Childhood Teacher certificate, allowing you to work in early childhood education while continuing to pursue your bachelor’s degree. As an applied science program, it emphasizes strong foundations in child development and early literacy—skills that are critical for teaching in elementary classrooms. Whether you’re new to the field or already working in education, the program connects real classroom experience with what you learn.

If you’re ready for a meaningful career helping the next generation learn and grow, start your journey at Morgan Community College.

It is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED that you speak with an advisor to ensure you are on the right pathway.
