Morgan Alert Emergency Notification System

The MorganCC Alert system is used to transmit brief urgent messages related to emergencies or weather-related closures to the college’s population as quickly as possible. The system will be in use at all MCC locations throughout the service area. Emergency notifications may include but are not limited to:

  • Fire Alarms
  • Bomb threats or other imminent violent threats
  • Building evacuations and lockdowns
  • Biological or pandemic emergency notifications
  • Natural disasters
  • Power outages and utility failures resulting in an imminent threat
  • Closure due to declared civil emergency
  • Severe weather-related closures

Students, full-time faculty, part-time instructors, and MCC staff will be notified via the contact information stored in the MCC database (Banner). Notification will be made by e-mail, phone, and text messaging if it is enabled.
