Morgan County Student Artwork Exhibit, “Best of the Best”

Fort Morgan, CO 2/17/2020. Morgan Community College’s (MCC’s) Center for Arts and Community Enrichment (CACE) announces the annual “Best of the Best” student art exhibit featuring artwork from regional middle school, high school and post-secondary students. The artwork, submitted by local teachers, was selected from work created during student class projects.

“The Best of the Best Student Art Show is a great opportunity to highlight the works of talented youth and young adults in the area,” stated Suzanna Spears, CACE Coordinator. “It is also an opportunity to observe the creative talents of regional Art Teachers at Middle School, High School and Post-Secondary institutions by viewing student interpretations of curricular Art projects.”

The exhibit will open Thursday, March 5, 2020 at 4:00 p.m., with the “Best of the Best” awards reception from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at the CACE Gallery of Fine Art, located at 300 Main in Fort Morgan. The show will remain on display through April 2, 2020.

Participating artists have a chance to be recognized with a certificate and award for Best of Show, Best Post-Secondary Artwork, Best High School Artwork, and Best Middle School Artwork.  Awards were provided by anonymous community donors. The People’s Choice Award artist will be identified at the end of the exhibit.  Ballots will be collected throughout the show, and the winner announced on April 2, 2020.

CACE invites the public to attend this free exhibit, celebrate local student artists, and vote for The People’s Choice Award.

Ally Stroh, Fort Morgan High School student, wins Best in Show for her work of art “When It’s Dark Out.”
