MCC Expands Team with Staff Transitions and New Talent

These professionals each bring experience, dedication, and a strong commitment to supporting students and the college community.

Morgan Community College (MCC) announces two internal staff transitions and the addition of a new professional, each bringing experience, dedication, and a strong commitment to supporting students and the college community.

Cathy Pacheco-Ogle transitioned from Director of Secondary Transitions to Education Faculty effective January 1, 2026. Pacheco-Ogle brings extensive experience in education, having served more than twenty years as an elementary teacher and instructional coach, followed by leadership roles as a school principal in four Colorado school districts. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education from the University of Wyoming, where she graduated with honors; a Master of Arts in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Phoenix; and a Master of Arts in Educational Administration from Argosy University. Pacheco-Ogle joined MCC in 2024 as Director of Career Services and later served as Director of Secondary Transitions, overseeing the GED and ESL programs. Her depth of instructional and leadership experience strengthens MCC’s Education program.

Megan McDonald transitioned from the Tutoring Center into the role of Testing Center Coordinator effective February 2, 2026. McDonald is an MCC alumna and a graduate of Metropolitan State University of Denver, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts in English with a minor in Sociology, graduating cum laude. She previously served as Academic Success Coordinator, leading the Tutoring Center for four years. Her commitment to student success and compassionate academic support continues in her new role within the Testing Center.

Jennifer Oliva-Ortega joined MCC as the College Store Assistant on December 8, 2025. Oliva-Ortega is an MCC alumna who earned an Associate of Applied Science in Business in 2024 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Management at Metropolitan State University of Denver. She brings professional experience in retail and is actively engaged in the community through volunteer service at St. Elizabeth Hospital. Her customer service background and dedication to service support the daily operations of the MCC College Store and the students it serves.
